NATIVE PLANT SALE & EXPO
The Florida Native Plant Society, Pawpaw Chapter has held very successful plant sales over the past four years which have evolved to include expert presentations on pertinent topics and of course hundreds of plants, many not available through commercial vendors. The plant sale will be held at the Piggotte Community Center, 504 Big Tree Rd. South Daytona on May 3, for 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Our speakers include Leslie Nixon, speaking about the necessity to SAVE THE BEES at 9:30 AM. Followed by Dr. Don Spence, an Assistant Professor at Flagler College. He is a Board Certified Master Arborist and will speak about Care and Diseases of Trees at 10:30 AM. Kate Muldoon, retired biologist will teach us how to PLANT FOR A SHADY GARDEN at 11:30 AM.
The three plant vendors will have many plants, particularly suited for this area of Central Florida. Right Plant, Right Place! Our exhibitors include a representative from the Xerces Society, Audubon Societies, nature inspired jewelry, and fabulous nature photos, cards and gifts by Paul Rebmann.
