Native Plants

The Pawpaw Chapter will consider grants for school native plant and community landscaping projects - see the Grants page for details and application.

A list of native plants that the Pawpaw Chapter sold at the 2017 Master Gardener Plant and Vendor Faire can be found on the Plant Sale page.

Jon Popisil created a list of native plants for our area that are attractive to butterflies as a follow-up to a program that he presented at one of the chapter meetings.  You can read or download it here.

You can find which native plants are suitable for your county at the Florida Native Plant Society website.

Audubon now has an online native plants database where you can view a list of the best plants for birds in your area (by zip code).

The 8-1/2" by 11" sign shown below is a great way to let your neighbors know about your native plants. The signs are $20 and available for purchase at Pawpaw Chapter meetings and events. You will need to provide your own post.

The mission of the Florida Native Plant Society is to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida.
